Some compact disks do not reveal the name of the artist playing the music. And the discovery of who is playing can produce some surprises. What this degree of anonymity says about the current standards of issuing discs is disturbing. Do record producers think we don't care who is playing, and do they think we cannot tell the difference between world famous orchestras and pickup ensembles? On Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear some of these "no names" discs.
