Stereo Treasures

In 1967, London Records started the "Stereo Treasury" label, in which they recycled stereo recordings of the past decade at reduced prices. What was unusual about this bargain label was the high quality of the record pressings, and their consequent low surface noise and brilliant acoustics. Recordings by stars of the London catalog such as Ernest Ansermet and the Suisse Romande Orchestra were especially praised. We will sample some "Stereo Treasuries."
