LGBT Rights in the 21st Century
What are the 21st Century civil rights struggles for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in east central Illinois?
Illinois Public Media, in collaboration with WGBH and American Experience, invite you to submit your original videos, animations and slide shows of three minutes or less about the challenges of being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in east central Illinois. Your submissions will be presented on a special section of the WILL website and on WGBH's Open Call website.
A panel of judges will pick five winners from material submitted nationwide. Each winner will receive a cash award of $1,000. One winning story will air during the April, 2011 broadcast of "Stonewall Uprising" on American Experience on PBS, including WILL-TV.
