This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Rachmaninoff’s “3rd Piano Concerto”  from New York, Beethoven’s “2nd Symphony” from Chicago, Mozart’s “40th Symphony” from Cleveland, a “Collectors’ Corner” program on Wilhelm Furtwangler, then Sunday a “String Quartet” by Schubert from Lincoln Center and an episode of “Early Music Now”.

An All-Mozart program on tonight’s “Evening Concert”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. In an all-Mozart program from the archives, Emanuel Ax is the soloist in Mozart’s “22nd Piano Concerto” with former Music Director Alan Gilbert conducting. Also on the program, Mozart’s “Great” “C Minor Mass”.
