This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Mozart’s “25th Piano Concerto” from New York, Brahms’ “Double Concerto” from Chicago, Stravinsky’s “Violin Concerto” from San Francisco, Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony” from Carnegie Hall, then Sunday music of Mozart from Lincoln Center and music by Schubert on the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “Carnegie Hall Live”.  Michael Tilson Thomas leads the San Francisco Symphony in an all-Mahler program You’ll hear the “1st Symphony in D Major” and the Adagio movement from the uncompleted “10th Symphony in F# Major”.

The New York Philharmonic’s “9/11 Anniversary Broadcast” on the “Evening Concert”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”.  From the archives, it’s the Philharmonic’s “9/11 Anniversary Broadcast”. The New York Choral Artists are featured in Brahms’ “A German Requiem” and John Adams’ “On the Transmigration of Souls”. Kurt Masur conducted the Brahms’, and Lorin Maazel conducted the Adams’.
