Jean-Yves Thibaudet Plays Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto with the Los Angeles Philharmonic

Tonight at 7:00 on "The Evening Concert" on WILL-FM it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. Jean-Yves Thibaudet is the soloist in BEETHOVEN’s Piano Concerto No. 5, the “Emperor”. Also on the program, the LA Master Chorale is featured in the choral sections of RAVEL’s complete ballet score to Daphnis and Chloé.

Tonight at 7:00 on WILL-FM’s, “Evening Concert” Matthieu Dufour is the flute soloist in the World Premiere  of Guillaume CONNESSON’s “pour sortir au jour” [CSO co-commission; World Premiere] with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Charles Dutoit guest conducts. Also on the program Saint-Saens’ 3rd Symphony, the “Organ” Symphony, and selections from Dukas’ “La peri”.

Tonight at 7:00 on “The Evening Concert” on WILL-FM: it’s “Salzburg Festival 2013”. Ivor Bolton leads the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra in Mozart’s 34th Symphony. Also on the program, Dvorak’s Op. 81 Piano Quintet in A and Schumann’s “Dichterliebe”.

Brahms 2nd Symphony from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dudamel Conducting

Tonight at 7:00 on "The Evening Concert" on WILL-FM it's the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. The program features two symphonies: Brahm's 2nd, written in one of the more joyful times of his life, the summer of 1877, and the 1st Symphony of American composer John Corigliano's whose creation was, in the composer's words, "generated by feelings of loss, anger and frustration."

Antonio Pappano conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of the National Academy of St. Cecilia, plus vocal soloists Anna Netrebko, Ian Bostridge and Thomas Hampson in Britten’s “War Requiem” Also on the program, the Vienna Philharmonic with Schubert’s 3rd Symphony.
