Friday it’s "Prairie Performances with Roger Cooper".

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert Cleveland Orchestra Principal Bassoonist John Clouser is the soloist in Mozart’s “Bassoon Concerto”. James Feddeck guest conducts. Also on the program Mendelssohn’s “Suite from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’”, the “Love Scene from Berlioz’ “Romeo and Juliet”, and Ravel’s “Daphnis and Chloe Suite No. 2”.
Tonight on the Evening Concert Kirill Gerstein is the piano soloist in Richard Strauss' "Burleske for Piano and Orchestra” with the San Francisco Symphony. Semyon Bychkov guest conducts. Also on the program Richard Strauss' tone poem "Don Juan” and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2 in C Major, Op.61.
Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert… Mitsuko Uchida is the piano soloist and conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in three of Mozart’s Piano Concertos: No. 18, K.456, No. 9, K.271, and No. 11, K.413. Also on the program, Uchida plays Mozart’s solo piano work, the “Adagio and Fugue in C Minor, K.546.
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert it’s an “encore” program from the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts. Duo Amal plays Mozart’s “Sonata in D Major K. 448 for Two Pianos” and Stravinsky’s "Petrushka". Also on the program Duo d’Accord plays Martinu’s “Fantasy for Two Pianos" and works by Ravel, Prokofiev and John Cage.

Also on the program Principal trombonist Massimo [MAAA-see-mo] La Rosa is the soloist in Nino Rota’s “Trombone Concerto”.
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert Joshua Bell is the violin soloist in Glazunov's "Violin Concerto in A Minor" with the San Francisco Symphony. Vasily Petrenko guest conducts. Also on the program Shostakovich's "Festive Overture", Tchaikovsky's "Meditation" and Elgar's "1st Symphony".
Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Alan Gilbert leads the group in ballet music by Stravinsky: “The Fairy’s Kiss” and “Petrushka”. Also on the program, selections from Tchaikovsky’s ballet, “The Nutcracker”. This is the program that was originally scheduled for broadcast on the Evening Concert Tuesday July 30th.
Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert it’s “Bachfest Leipzig” from the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts. The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment plays Bach’s “Orchestral Suite in B Minor” and his “Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor”. Also on the program Mozart’s “40th Symphony” and music of Praetorius, and Schein.
