Performances from the “2019 Cooper International Violin Competition” on tonight’s program

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. You’ll hear selections from the 2019 Cooper International Violin Competition. Shihan Wang plays Mendelssohn’s “E Minor Violin Concerto”. Also on the program, Eric Charles Chen plays Prokofiev’s “2nd Violin Concerto” and Isabella Brown plays the Dvorak “Violin Concerto”.

Handel’s “Messiah”: a complete performance on tonight’s program

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Matthew Halls conducts a complete performance of Handel’s “Messiah”. The vocal soloists are Amanda Forsyth, Sasha Cooke, Nicholas Phan, and Joshua Hopkins with the CSO Orchestra and Chorus.  The program differs from the one listed in Patterns Magazine.
