Lorin Maazel Retrospective on “The New York Philharmonic This Week”

 

Join us Thursday evening, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. for "The Evening Concert".  Lorin Maazel passed away Sunday, July 13 at the age of 84. Maestro Maazel served as Music Director of the New York Philharmonic from 2002-2009 and was an important figure on and off the stage. To commemorate his legacy, WILL FM 90.9 will air the New York Philharmonic program that was originally aired on the occasion of Maazel’s 75th birthday on Thursday evening, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. The program features works composed and conducted by Maestro Maazel, with an incredible lineup of soloists.
