This week [Monday, August 11 - Sunday, August 17] on the Evening Concert it’s the “25th Silbermann Days” from the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts . . . then “Romeo and Juliet” from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Wednesday Yuja Wang plays Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto with the San Francisco Symphony; Thursday it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week” and Sunday, Chamber Music from Lincoln Center and Santa Fe… That’s the “Evening Concert" Monday through Thursday & Sunday evenings at 7:00 on WILL, FM-90.9.

Allerton Music Barn Festival | Clarinetist Ken Peplowski, former sideman with Benny Goodman, will join the UI Jazz Concert Band, under the direction of Joel Spencer, to perform arrangements from Goodman’s landmark 1938 Carnegie Hall concert on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. The band will also play modern jazz charts from its recent CD devoted to the music of Pepper Adams.
