This week on the Evening Concert on WILL-FM, it’s the next “Beethovenfest in Bonn” program, then Brahms 4th Symphony from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Wednesday David Fray is the soloist in Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto with the Cleveland Orchestra; Thursday it’s “Election Coverage” and “Fiesta!” and Sunday, Chamber Music from Lincoln Center and from Spoleto.

Tonight at 7:00 on WILL-FM, 90.9 it’s a shortened “Evening Concert” with “The Forgotten Music of Villa-Lobos” on Fiesta! At 8:00 it’s our simulcast coverage of the Illinois Gubernatorial Debate between candidates Pat Quinn and Bruce Rauner. These programs differ from the listings in Patterns magazine and they pre-empt tonight’s “New York Philharmonic This Week”.

Britten’s “Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings” on Tonight’s Cleveland Orchestra Broadcast

Tonight at 7:00 on "The Evening Concert" on WILL, FM-90.9 it’s the next Cleveland Orchestra broadcast. Richard King is the horn soloist and Matthew Polenzani is the tenor with the Cleveland Orchestra in Britten’s “Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings". Pittsburgh Smphony Music Director Marek Janowski guest conducts.  Also on the program: Faure’s “Pelleas and Melisande Suite and Franck’s “Symphony in D Minor”.

Schubert’s “Mass in A-flat” and Morricone’s “Voices from the Silence” on tonight’s CSO broadcast

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL FM-90.9, it’s music for orchestra and chorus as Music Director Riccardo Muti conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Schubert’s Mass in A-flat, Mozart’s “Ave verum corpus” and Vivaldi’s “Magnificat”.  Also on the program Morricone’s “Voices from the Silence”.

Dvorak’s 7th Symphony, Beethoven’s “Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus” Featured

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the fifth of the “Beethovenfest in Bonn” programs from Deutsche Welle.  Composer Krystof Penderecki conducts Sinfonia Varsovia in Dvorak’s 7th Symphony and Beethoven’s “Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus”. Also on the program Rudolf Buchbinder is the soloist in Penderecki’s “Resurrection Piano Concerto”.

Suk’s Piano Quartet & Brahms F Minor Piano Quintet Featured

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL FM-90.9, pianist Gloria Chien is featured in Suk’s Piano Quartet in A Minor on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 it’s Brahms’ F Minor Piano Quintet featuring pianist Pavel Kalesnikov and the Brentano String Quartet on the Spoleto Chamber Music Festival.
