This week {Monday, July 7th - Sunday, July 13} on "The Evening Concert Igor Levit plays Schumann’s Piano Concerto on the Deutsche Welle Festival Concerts; Leonard Slaktin conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; Andras Schiff plays two of Bach’s Keyboard Concertos with the San Francisco Symphony; Bramwell Tovey conducts Copland on “The New York Philharmonic This Week” and Chamber Music from Lincoln Center and Santa Fe.

Pinchas Zukerman Plays Bruch’s 1st Violin Concerto with the San Francisco Symphony

Tonight at 7:00 on "The Evening Concert" on WILL, FM-90.9 it’s the first of this year’s San Francisco Symphony broadcasts. Michael Tilson Thomas is the Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony. Pinchas Zukerman is the soloist in Bruch’s “Violin Concerto in G Minor". The program opens with Wagner's Overture to “Tannhauser” and closes with Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony. Semyon Bychkov guest conducts.

Jennifer Koh and Jaime Laredo Play Works for Two Violins & Orchestra With the CSO

Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL-FM 90.9, it’s the Chicago Symphony Orchestra led by guest conductor Harry Bicket. Jennifer Koh and Jaime Laredo are the violinists in Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, and Anna Clyne’s Prince of Clouds. The program starts with Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.6 and closes with Rameau’s Suite from Les Boreades .

Tonight at 7:00 on “The Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9: Ralf Gothoni is the piano soloist in Heitor Villa-Lobos’ “Choros #11 for piano and orchestra with the Finnish Radio Sym. Orch. led by Sakari Oramo. Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM, 90.9 … it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week” with an all-MOZART program. Emanuel Ax is the soloist in Mozart’s 22nd Piano Concerto; Philip Myers, Mark Nuccio and others are the soloists in the “Sinfonia Concertante” in G"; plus there’s the 25th and 36th Symphonies.

Helene Grimaud Plays Ravel’s Concerto in G with LA Philharmonic

Tonight's Evening Concert features pianist Helene Grimaud playing Ravel's "Piano Concerto in G" with LA Philharmonic. Music Director Gustavo Dudamel conducts. Maestro Dudamel opens the program with Mozart's Serenata Notturna and ends with Mozart's 36th Symphony, the Linz, the symphony getting it's title from the fact that Mozart wrote it quite rapidly during a visit to the city of Linz in Austria.

Muti conducts Bruckner 1st; Buchbinder Plays Beethoven’s 4th

Tonight at 7:00 on WILL-FM’s, “Evening Concert” it’s the Chicago Symphony Orchestra led by Music Director Riccardo Muti. Pianist Rudolf Buchbinder is the soloist in Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto. Maestro Muti opens the program with “Siegfried’s Rhine Journey and Funeral March” from “Wagner’s “Twilight of the Gods” and ends with Bruckner’s 1st Symphony.
