Pianist David Fray Plays Schumann’s Piano Concerto

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it’s the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Former Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen leads the group in Tchaikovsky’s “Francesca da Rimini”, Lutoslawski’s “The Spaces of Sleep” and his own “Nyx”. Also on the program, David Fray is the piano soloist in Schumann’s “Piano Concerto”.

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it's the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Guest conductor Edo de Waart conducts Brahms 4th Symphony and Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony.  Also on the program Daniel Barenboim is the conductor and soloist in Mozart’s 23rd Piano Concerto.

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it's the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Lars Vogt is the piano soloist in Mozart’s 16th Piano Concerto. Also on the program, Music Director Manfred Honeck leads the group in Beethoven’s First Symphony and Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome.

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it's the New York Philharmonic This Week. The program differs from the Patterns Magazine listing. Music Director Alan Gilbert leads the group in Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony. Also on the program: Yefim Bronfman is the soloist in Prokofiev's 2nd Piano Concerto, plus an archive recording of the Koussevitzky Double Bass Concerto.

Leif Ove Andsnes plays Beethoven’s 1st Piano Concerto

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it's the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Music Director Manfred Honeck leads the group in Nicolai’s Overture to “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” and Johann Strauss, Jr.’s “Radetzky March” and other favorites. Also on the program, Leif Ove Andsnes is the soloist in Beethoven’s 1st Piano Concerto.
