Interview
Andrea Seabrook, NPR's Congressional Correspondent.
Host: David Inge
Recorded at WILL on April 11, 2012
Andrea Seabrook says the U.S. Capitol complex is huge and it took her some time just to learn where everything was. Once she got to that point, she says she began to get the feeling that what she was reporting wasn’t what was really going on. The real challenge in covering Congress, she says, lies in going beyond what the members say they are doing and getting to what they are spending most of their time doing, raising money and meeting with lobbyists.
