Irish Rovers and Celtic Woman on St. Patrick’s Day!
At 7 pm, Celtic Woman, internationally renowned for songs of heartwarming inspiration, presents a musical special for the entire family. The extravagant production was filmed at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta with visual and musical effects, a 20-piece orchestra, seven-piece Celtic Woman Band, 16-piece Atlanta Bagpipe Band, lush vocal harmonies from the 10-member Aontas Choir and a 30-member children’s choir, serving as the backdrop.
Then at 9 pm, The Irish Rovers: Home in Ireland, filmed entirely on location in Northern Ireland, celebrates 45 years of the hits made famous by the rollicking Irish Rovers. Known for such folksy jigs as "The Unicorn," "Wasn't That a Party," "Grandma Got Run-Over by a Reindeer," "Whiskey on a Sunday" and "The Black Velvet Band," their songs have become anthems of revelry and joy for generations of fans. With three award-winning television series to their credit, the group takes to the small screen once again to share their love of music and their native land.
