Safety Council Official Says 70 mph Speed Limit Will Lead To More Accidents

Illinois Public Media’s Jim Meadows talks with National Safety Council Vice President John Ulczycky about the potential impact of Illinois' new 70 mph speed limit.

The new speed limit is set to take effect on rural interstates in January. Governor Pat Quinn says the change will curb speeding and promote traffic safety. But Ulczycki is not so sure.
