Eilen Jewell and Pokey LaFarge

At the Hoogland Center for the Arts in Springfield tonight, there's a concert featuring both Eilen Jewell (she says her name EE-len), a singer-songwriter originally from Idaho, and the Normal, Illinois-born Pokey LaFarge and his South City Three. Pokey and company do mostly originals mixing the styles of early jazz, string ragtime, country blues and Western swing, while Eilen writes in styles that bridge forms like country, rockabilly, blues and folk.
