Live and Local with Kevin Kelly
Live and Local with Kevin Kelly, heard weekdays from noon to 1p on FM 90.9, will keep you informed about local music performances by performers both local and national. The program will include interviews with the artists, as well as educators, students, administrators and audience members. You'll hear features on the many performing groups throughout our listening area, a daily calendar of music events, and (of course!) lots of music.

Trumpeter Walter Blanton is steeped in the Las Vegas music scene, and he has performed with the likes of James Brown, Nancy Wilson, The Temptations, Elvis Presley, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. Blanton will be in residence at the University of Illinois for a week beginning Monday, and he’ll be my guest with trombonist Jim Pugh on Monday’s “Live and Local.”
