This past June, the School of Music at the University of Illinois announced that the Jupiter String Quartet would replace the Pacifica Quartet as their new string quartet-in-residence. The Jupiter Quartet will give their inaugural performance in our community to kick off the Allerton Music Barn Festival in Monticello Thursday night, and we'll be pleased to introduce them to you, playing live, on the Tuesday edition of Live and Local.
