Champaign-Urbana Symphony presents Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition

Mussorgsky's orchestral work Pictures at an Exhibition was inspired by paintings by his friend Viktor Hartmann in 1874. On Friday night, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony will perform the work, accompanied by photographs by artists Larry Kanfer and Karyl Wackerlin. They'll join me on the Thursday edition of "Live and Local." And I'll talk with the lead singer of The Klezmatics a "Jewish roots band" playing in Bloomington Saturday night.
