While I agree with Thom Hartmann on many issues - most notably the notion that Obama is a corporatist and a warmonger, I don't see how having Thom propagandize his views is in line with your mission statement "We want to help people understand the role of media in society." Wouldn't it have been more appropriate to have him comment on the media? Specifically, he mentioned in passing that his listeners were upset with him for giving a pass on Obama's foreign policy. I would have loved to hear some probing into that, and the media's role in shaping public opinion on the war. What about NBC getting exclusive access to the so-called "Iraq pullout", in return for giving patriotic softball coverage harkening back to 2003?

I generally agree with Thom Hartmann but I have to take offense with his repeated use of "Maggie Thatcher" when speaking of Margaret Thatcher. Ronald Reagan isn't Ronnie, Bill Clinton isn't Billy and George Bush isn't Georgie. This is very disrespectful and sexist Thommy.
