A lot of money is being spent on this year's governor's race, and usually those fundraising dollars are used to get the word out through events and advertising. To help you understand the deluge of campaign ads, we talked with the Chicago Tribune's Rick Pearson.

GEO Going On Strike Monday

The union representing graduate employees at the University of Illinois’ Urbana campus is going on strike. That announcement came Sunday from the Graduate Employees Organization, after a five-hour negotiating session with a federal mediator failed to produce a contract agreement.
