School report cards released by the Illinois State Board of Education show little change from previous years. But the Illinois State Board of Education is trying to make the data more accessible.
The Illini men's basketball team defeated visiting Washington University of Saint Louis 82-75 in in an exhibition game Sunday afternoon at the State Farm Center in Champaign.

Starter Jon Lester went six innings for the victory, and the Cubs got solo home run out of Kris Bryant in the three-run fourth inning.
The Cubs find themselves on the brink of elimination after losing to Cleveland 7-2 Saturday night. Corey Kluber beat the Cubs for a second time in four days while the Indians' Carlos Santana and Jason Kipnis homered for Cleveland. John Lackey took the loss. Dexter Fowler hit a home run in the 8th for the Cubs.
