Federal Loan To Help Monticello Build New Wastewater Treatment Plant

The US Department of Agriculture has awarded the city of Monticello a $14 million loan to build a new wastewater treatment plant. The announcement comes a year after Illinois' Attorney General sued the city over the release of untreated wastewater into streets. 

A measure heading to Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn would allow 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections.

Plus, we spoke with a surgeon about the effects of over-pitching on high school baseball players, and learned about an effort to help residents of Flint, Michigan, get access to clean water.
