U of I Argues Women’s BB Players’ Lawsuit Should Be Dismissed

The University of Illinois wants a judge to toss out a lawsuit filed by seven former members of the women's basketball team who allege they were the victims of racial discrimination.  The U of I argues that the sovereign immunity that prevents the state from being sued in federal court also covers the state university.

Former Cub Glanville Profiles Cubs-Mets Playoff

Former major league outfielder Doug Glanville, who broke in with the Cubs in 1996, was also a member of the 2003 team that fell just short of going to the World Series.  But today, he's best known as an analyst for ESPN and writer for the New York Times and Newsweek.  He spoke with Jeff Bossert about the 2015 Cubs.

Is This Finally The Year For The Cubs?

The Chicago Cubs are in the Major League Baseball playoffs for the first time since 2008.  Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline spoke to Brett Taylor from the Cubs website Bleacher Nation about their chances in Wednesday's wildcard game.
