McFadden Takes Another Chicago Marathon

University of Illinois graduate Tatyana McFadden has won the women's wheelchair division of the Chicago Marathon for the seventh time, finishing the race in 1:42:28. McFadden had a quick turnaround after her successful run at the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was also her fifth consecutive win in Chicago as she pursues another marathon 'grand slam' (Chicago, New York, Boston, and London.)

Illinois Announces Plans For $132 Million Stadium Renovation

The University of Illinois says it is drawing up plans to renovate the south and east sides of Memorial Stadium. The U of I said Monday that the $132 million project would move the football offices, locker rooms and training areas from the north end of the stadium to the area behind the south end zone.

New Documentary ‘The Game Changer’ Examines Accessibility Pioneer Nugent’s Early Efforts

When Tim Nugent came home from World War Two – little did he know his efforts to help wounded veterans in the late 40’s at the University of Illinois' former Galesburg campus would later make him the ‘Father of Accessibility’ in Champaign-Urbana, and for college students all over. The new Big Ten Network documentary "The Game Changer" includes film footage from the 1950's, telling the story of how Nugent began his efforts.
