Rauner Administration Asks For Public Input On Construction Revenues

Governor Bruce Rauner has long promised major investments in Illinois' infrastructure system, but has been short on suggestions for how to pay for construction. Now Rauner's administration says it's asking taxpayers their opinions on shoring up a public works program

Federal Grant Will Expand Major Routes In U of I Campustown Area

The MCORE (Multimodal Corridor Enhancement) Project is paid for through a federal grant received last fall, as well as matching funds.  It's divided into five projects, expanding major streets in Campustown for buses, pedestrians, and bicyclists.

Report: Plane Changed Course Before Deadly Bloomington Crash

A report out Wednesday from the Wednesday's National Transportation Safety Board on the April 7 crash doesn't indicate why the pilot changed course as he neared Central Illinois Regional Airport.

Are People Really Leaving Illinois In Droves?

Last year, Illinois was one of a handful of states that lost population. More than 90,000 people moved elsewhere.  It became a campaign issue for Governor when then candidate Bruce Rauner criticized the state's lack of friendliness to business, but the numbers don't mean mean there is a crisis, or even a real clamor, to leave the state.
