McFadden Wins Boston For Third Straight Year

University of Illinois graduate Tatyana McFadden has won her third straight women's wheelchair race at the Boston Marathon.   This comes after marathon 'grand slam' victories the last two years in Boston, Chicago, New York, and London.

Midwest Seeing More Frequent Flooding

Floods in the midwest and nearby states are not getting bigger, they're just occurring more often. That's the conclusion of a new study by the University of Iowa Flood Center after looking at 50 years of river levels in 14 states

Chicago Cardinal Francis George Dies At Age 78

Cardinal Francis George, a vigorous defender of Roman Catholic orthodoxy who played a key role in the church's response to the clergy sex abuse scandal, has died. He was 78.
