Charleston Mayor Larry Rennels Dies At 67

Rennels died of natural causes early Thursday.  He was first elected to the city council in 1997, and served until he was elected in 2013.

Perry Introduced As New UI Softball Coach

Tyra Perry brings in 409 career wins at NCAA Division 1 schools, including two seasons at Ball State.  She was named 2014 Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year during her first season there.

In Fair Housing Act Case Supreme Court Upholds “Disparate Impact” Tool

The Supreme Court voted 5-4 to uphold the Fair Housing Act of 1968 and a tool called “disparate impact,” which means that either an individual or institution only has to prove that a decision had a discriminatory impact. They do not have to prove that the discrimination was intentional.
