Music Critic Hopes Conversation Leads To Change

Music critic Jessica Hopper recently started a social media conversation about how women and other marginalized groups have been discouraged in their pursuits in the music industry.  Hopper will be in Champaign-Urbana for this weekend's Pygmalion Festival.  She spoke with Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline about how that conversation started, and where she hopes it could lead.

Savoy Trustees Approve Clinton Landfill Consent Decree

The Savoy Village Board voted unaniminously Wednesday night to approve the Clinton Landfill consent decree, becoming the 11th member of the Mahomet Aquifer Coalition to endorse the agreement.

Illinois Financial Situation Getting Worse

Speaking in Moline Tuesday, Illinois Comptroller Leslie Munger said the total of Illinois' unpaid bills could reach $8.5 billion by the end of the year.
