Pregnant Workers To Be Protected Under New State Law

Governor Pat Quinn signs measure protecting pregnant women from losing their jobs.

Despite current employment protections, pregnant women in the workplace are still sometimes forced out of jobs in Illinois. The governor Tuesday signed legislation aimed at ending that practice.

American Reportedly Fighting Alongside Extremists In Syria Dies

A U.S. citizen reportedly fighting alongside a terrorist group in Syria has died.  The National Security Council has not said whether or not Douglas McAuthur McCain was fighting for the group that calls itself the Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL.)
