Indiana Lawmakers, Governor Approve Religious Law Changes

The changes to the religious objections law were announced Thursday morning, and approved by both chambers that afternoon.  Republican Gov. Mike Pence later signed the altered measure, which takes effect in July.

Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner said the Indiana religious-objections law could 'open the door to discriminatory behavior', while U.S. Senator Mark Kirk called it 'basically un-American.'

Students In December Protest Involved In ‘Restorative’ Talk

Sunday's conversation that included students, parents, and public officials was the decision of State's Attorney Julia Rietz, rather than charging anyone with a crime.  The 'Black Lives Matter' protest occured outside Champaign Centennial High School Dec. 4th.
