Terri Sullivan Retires From Illinois Softball

Illinois softball head coach Terri Sullivan has announced her retirement after 16 years with the program. Sullivan was the inaugural head coach of the program starting in 2000.

Indiana Schools Chief Announces Run For Governor

Glenda Ritz formally announced her campaign Thursday at an event in Indianapolis.  The state schools superintendent has clashed repeatedly with Republican Governor Mike Pence and his appointed State Board of Education over education policy.

Meet The Woman Who Pioneered GMO Research

At 76 years old, U of I graduate Mary-Dell Chilton is still working. The genetically-modified corn, soybeans and other crops that her research helped develop now grow on more than 170 million acres of U.S. farmland. Earlier this month, Chilton’s groundbreaking discoveries earned her a place in the National Inventors Hall of Fame.

Chicago Bulls Introduce Fred Hoiberg As New Coach

The Chicago Bulls made it official Tuesday, hiring Iowa State's Fred Hoiberg to replace Tom Thibodeau.  Hoiberg was long rumored as the replacement for Thibodeau, who was fired last week after five seasons.
