Urbana Library Board Still Working On Separation Agreement

The Urbana Free Library's board met Tuesday night to discuss for the first time an early separation agreement with the library’s executive director. It met in closed session with the library’s attorney, and is still working on the agreement.

Daily Illini Ditches Friday Print Editions

The Daily Illini is ditching its Friday print edition. The independent student newspaper at the University of Illinois will continue to publish articles on its website on Fridays, but will do away with the print edition.

Clarence B. Jones: A Guiding Hand Behind ‘I Have A Dream’

For the month of August, Morning Edition and The Race Card Project are looking back at a seminal moment in civil rights history: the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his iconic "I Have a Dream Speech" Aug. 28, 1963. Approximately 250,000 people descended on the nation's capital from all over the country for the mass demonstration.
