U of I Gives Retiring President Easter Final Bonus

University of Illinois President Robert Easter will get one last pay increase before he retires later this month.  At their meeting Thursday in Springfield, U of I trustees approved a $167, 200 performance bonus.

Former city council member Deb Frank Feinen was sworn in Tuesday tonight as Champaign's new mayor, along with other newly elected city officials, including new city councilman Matt Gladney.

Proposed Champaign Budget Doesn’t Account For Possible State Cuts

The Champaign City Council gets its first look at the suggested 2015-16 budget plan Tuesday night.  City staff have been asked to consider potential reductions coming from Gov. Bruce Rauner's proposed cuts in state-shared revenues, but there are no specific cuts in this plan.
