Illinois Beats Georgia Southern 80-71 In Men’s Basketball Opener

Aaron Crosby's 3 pointer late helped secure the win for Illinois.

Georgia Southern gave the Illini men’s basketball team all they could handle Friday night at the State Farm Center in Champaign. The final score was 80-71 in favor of Illinois, but with under three minutes to go, it was a four point game.

Kilgore Could Return To U Of I, Following Trustees’ Decision

James Kilgore could return to teaching at the University of Illinois, despite controversy over a past felony conviction. The Board of Trustees has said it’s leaving decisions on hiring him to those at the campus level.

U of I Trustees Wrap-Up: $180K Bonus For Easter, Gov. Quinn’s Budget Pitch, Med School Plans

University of Illinois Trustees Thursday apporoved $180,000 in incentive-based compensation for President Bob Easter.  That amount would be paid to the president within 30 days.
