Rep. Davis Among Those Seeking Reversal Of Spy Agency Decision

The Taylorville Republican says federal officials didn't place national security at the top of the list when deciding on a new location for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in north St. Louis.  Davis is among the lawmakers recommending they reconsider a site near Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

U Of I Non-Tenure Union Holds Work-In After Last Week’s Strike

Members of the U of I's Non-Tenure Faculty Coalition are holding a two day 'work-in' outside the Henry Administration Building.  The union went on a two-day strike last week as a means of pressuring administrators for a new contract.

‘Individual A’ Sues Hastert For Money Over Unpaid Hush Money

The person known as "Individual A'', who alleges Dennis Hastert sexually abused him decades ago and was promised more than $3 million to keep quiet has filed a lawsuit, saying he's only been paid about half the money.

Gov. Rauner Signs Higher Ed Measure

Gov. Bruce Rauner has signed SB 2059, which provides $600 million in emergency funding for Illinois' public universities through the rest of the semester.  In a statement, the governor says "now is the time to build on this bipartisan momentum and focus on enacting a truly balanced budget for Fiscal Years 2016-2017."  But he reiterated his call for business reforms at the same time.
