Quinn Backs Term Limits For Constitutional Officers

A proposal for term limits for Illinois constitutional officers received the support of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner yesterday (Wednesday). Now, Governor Pat Quinn says he supports the plan.

Gwendolyn Brooks

Gwendolyn Brooks is probably best know for her poem “We Real Cool.” Brooks, a Pulitzer Prize Winner and a past Poet Laureate for the state of Illinois, died in 2000. Last fall, the University of Illinois Rare Book and Manuscript Library acquired her archives. Tonight, at 7:30 at the Lincoln Hall Theater there will be an event serving as an official welcoming of those papers.

Illinois Home Sales Down But Improving In Long Run: Analyst

A year ago at this time, Illinois home sales were surging. And even though they’re down this year, one housing analyst says they’re still showing long-term improvement.
