No Injuries in Sunday Shooting in Champaign

 

Champaign Police responded to a shooting early Sunday morning on the 300 block of E. Green Street.

No one was injured during the incident, but at least one vehicle was damaged.

Champaign resident, Harvey Blakely, 27, was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. After being detained, Blakely was sent to the Champaign County Jail. His bond is set at $1,000,000.

Michael Gladney 32, of Champaign, was driving a vehicle during the incident. He was arrested for Disobeying a Stop Sign and Fleeing and Eluding.

Officers also contacted a female passenger, but have not revealed her name and indicated whether any charged have been filed.

Based on evidence recovered from the scene, police say there may have been more than one shooter involved.
