Arrests Made In Grisly Central Illinois Homicide

A woman and a man from central Illinois have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 74-year-old man after human remains were found in two counties.

Authorities said Thursday that 24-year-old Vishawn Mills and 23-year-old Rayshawn Johnson of Bloomington were arrested Wednesday in Indianapolis.

Warrants from McLean and Woodford counties charge Mills with the murder of Oakley Mitchell of Secor.

A McLean County warrant charges Johnson with concealing a murder.

Fishermen found a torso Saturday in the Mackinaw River south of Kappa. Other remains were found Tuesday at Mitchell's farmhouse. DNA tests are under way to confirm the remains are from the same body.

Mills is in custody in McLean County and Johnson is being held in Woodford County. It wasn't immediately clear if they have attorneys.
