Conversations about end-of-life care are rarely comfortable.  But one medical ethicist has been initiating those conversations for more than 25 years.  Brian Moline spoke with Dr. Bernard "Bud" Hammes about the history of the Respecting Choices program.

Hammes is speaking Tuesday night at the Gloria Valenti Compassionate Care Awards dinner in Champaign.  He will also speak Wednesday from 11:30am-1:00pm at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.
