One year ago, there were 95 beds available in Champaign County for homeless men to use on an emergency basis.  Today they’re all gone, a casualty of the year-long state budget impasse. Illinois Public Media's Brian Moline spoke with Melany Jackson, chair of the Champaign County Council of Service Providers for the Homeless, about the situation.

The Champaign County Council of Service Providers to the Homeless recently held a public forum to discuss the situation and come up with ideas to resume emergency shelter services.
