Danville Police Arrest Suspect in 2012 Murder

Danville Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the murder last year of Larry Carter.

Public Safety Director Larry Thomason announced in a news release that police detectives obtained an indictment for 27 year old Edward S. Woodfork of Danville, and arrested him without incident at an establishment in the 600 block of North Vermilion Thursday night.

Woodfork is being held by Vermilion County authorities with no bond, pending a court appearance.

The 27 year old Carter was found shot to death in front of a home in the 500 block of Robinson Street, in May of last year.
