"That’s What She Said," a night of women exchanging stories, returns to The Virginia Theatre Saturday night.  Show co-founder Kerry Rossow stopped by our studios to talk with Illinois Public Media’s Brian Moline about this year’s event, and how it all got started three years ago.

Rossow said that this year's event has expanded into a weekend festival, "She Said Lady Fest."

"This weekend will be sort of like a buffet for girls' night out," she said.  "Tonight (Friday) is the kickoff party, tomorrow (Saturday) the anchor show, movies on Sunday, the whole weekend."

According to Rossow, the show's mission is simple, but vitally important.

"I think that word 'exchange' was important to us because we think it's as important for the people telling the stories as it is for the people hearing the stories," she said.

Tickets for Saturday night's show are available at the Virginia Theatre box office, by phone at 217-356-9063, or at thevirginia.org.
