Longtime customers know to put in their orders early for chocolate Easter eggs from Pease’s Candy Store in Springfield. During the store’s 65 years of operation, chocolate-covered strawberries in the spring, caramel apples in the fall, and cremes, Meltaways and Raggedy Ann’s all year round have made Pease’s a popular destination for people with a sweet tooth. Host Alison Davis profiles the locally owned candy store with a factory and four locations in Springfield.
Davis interviews Rob Flesher, a fourth generation owner of the store, about what it takes for the business to remain competitive with larger companies. “People come back there because the service in personal,” Davis said.
