Prairie Fire visits the Farmer City workshop of Mike Richards who restores antique furniture, makes stained glass windows, and creates miniature exact replicas of classic furniture. WILL-TV producer Jack Kelly said Richards uses old wood for his replicas. “He’s preserving the wood and recyling it by creating new things from it. If you’re creating a miniature of a piece that goes back 200 years, why not use the wood that came from that era?” Richards plans to build a model house and furnish it with the replicas.
