From The Allerton Music Barn Festival, the Jupiter Quartet—the School of Music’s quartet-in-residence—performs the Brahms Sextet No. 2 in G Major, op. 36, with winners of the Quartet’s 2nd annual Guest Artist Award, Kim Uwate, viola and Seungwon Chung, cello, and spirituals with Faculty Artist Ollie Watts Davis. Also on the program is the Dvořák String Quartet in F Major, op 96 (“American”), written during a vacation in Spillville, Iowa, which was home to a Czech immigrant community.
