And now Illinois Public Media is bringing you the story of these iconic structures that dot our landscape with the new documentary Barns: An Illinois Story, featuring barns in Champaign, Piatt, McDonough, and Peoria counties.

Illinois Newsroom launches with the appointment of a new leader

Illinois Newsroom—the statewide, seven-station journalism collaborative, spearheaded by Illinois Public Media and funded through a $715,000 grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) as well as support from the public media partner newsrooms—launches with the appointment of a new leader.

Illinois Public Media to launch new radio talk show in March

The 21st, a new hour-long talk show, will launch March 14, 2016. Veteran journalist and public radio host Niala Boodhoo will host and executive produce the show.

The 21st — 21st-century radio for the 21st state — will combine relevant news and conversation with audience engagement through phone calls, social media and other digital channels.
