The 21st Show was joined by two advocacy managers from Landmarks Illinois and two people working to preserve locations on this year's list.

Historic preservationists talk about the list "The Most Endangered Historic Places in Illinois.".

Efforts to preserve historic buildings in low-income and inner-city neighborhoods throughout the state face challenges — like the lack of access to financing and restoration projects taking a back seat to more pressing issues in the community. 

Champaign Central High School and other nearby neighborhood properties are on this year's list of endangered historic sites from the group Landmarks Illinois.
