Romance and Intrigue Ignite "Chess"
Romance ignites during the tension of an international chess tournament during the Cold War in the musical Chess. A collaboration between Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of the Swedish pop group ABBA and lyricist Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita), Chess in Concert comes to WILL-TV on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 pm.
Idina Menzel (Wicked), Adam Pascal (Rent) and pop star Josh Groban star in the tale of a triangle between rival American and Russian chess champions and the woman they both love. This concert performance includes such songs as “One Night in Bangkok,” “Anthem” and “I Know Him So Well.”
Drat! I missed this—Is there a re-broadcast date for this by any chance?
Thanks,
M@
There’s a rebroadcast tonight (technically, Friday morning) at 2:00 am, and another early Monday morning, also at 2:00 am.
Here’s a handy tip: you can use our online schedule to find when a show is being repeated.
1) Go to: http://will.illinois.edu/tv/schedule/
2) Click on the title of the program.
3) A window will pop up. Click on the tab that says “When to Watch.”
4) Scroll down to see a list of every time that program will air in the next few weeks, even if it’s being repeated on one of our digital channels!
Hope that you are able to catch one of the rebroadcasts!
