Davis, Londrigan Fall Along Party Lines As House Passes Prescription Price Bill

A bill backed by Democrats to control prescription drug prices passed the House Thursday on a near party-line vote. Illinois Congressman Rodney Davis joined the majority of his fellow Republicans in opposing it. Meanwhile, Democratic challenger Betsy Dirksen Londrigan says she would have voted for it.

Pritzker Drops $5m On Tax Campaign, Expects Expensive Fight

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker is giving $5 million to a campaign supporting a graduated income tax. It’s the first reported contribution in what’s expected to be an expensive fight over the state’s tax policy.
