On the 21st: We discussed concerns regarding the possible loss of protections from the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration policy, which president-elect Donald Trump has said he would rescind. We also talked with a retired police officer about building trust with the community, and spoke with the author of the memoir "Treyf: My Life as an Unorthodox Outlaw."

Paying Tribute To Vets Who Succumbed To PTSD

A lot of military memorials honor service abroad.  But one being planned in Illinois will recognize those whose battle continued when they came home. 

The Forgotten Warrior Memorial could be in place next year in Channahon State Park in Will County.   It will pay tribute to military men and women who lost their lives to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

U of I Students Report Threats, Harassment After Election

A University of Illinois professor says students of color on the Urbana campus have reported being threatened and harassed after the presidential election.

Latino/Latina Studies Professor Julie Dowling says she's heard students describe seeing a knife flashed at a Muslim student and other cases of harassment.

Results: Unit 4, Other Champaign County Ballot Measures

Voters in Champaign county weighed in on several ballot measures Tuesday night, including proposals to fund school facilities and county building projects and proposals to reshape the leadership structure of county government. 

The results were mixed.
